Recently returning from hacktivist work in South America, Victoria
Sinclair will present a talk on the free software & free culture
movements in global hacklabs.

The talk will include a short film on the Pontos de Culturas network and
the plans for several other hacklabs around Brasil.

Additionally, a discussion will be lead on how partnerships can be
created between Manchester and hacklabs in other countries.

For those interested in (participating/attending/just finding out more
about) the forthcoming hackademia festival, attendance is highly
recommended.

The event will include a Q&A session, discussion and then lively debate
in the pub afterwards.

Speaker
Victoria Sinclair is a member of ArcSpace, and is the key organizer in
the forthcoming hackademia festival in Manchester.

Location
The meeting will take place at the usual time, 7pm, at Madlab on Edge
Street in the Northern Quarter. “(Between Thomas St and the Craft
