Subject: All Souls Bolton, Geek Week - November 7th and 8th

Hi folks,

Some of you may know me, some of you may not. I’m working with All
Souls Community Centre, Bolton on a range of geek orientated
activities on the 7th and 8th of November. We’re running an all day
drop in session for adults and teens on the Saturday, and a dedicated
program for kids on the Sunday.

We realise it’s rather short notice, but we would love it if members
of Manchester Hackspace were to get involved. We’re looking at
running a number of kids sessions on the Sunday revolving around
physical computing and basic soldering skills. If anyone would be
free to supervise, it would be a massive help, and people are of
course encouraged to bring their own kids.

We’d also love to see any interesting projects or toys you would like
to bring that may inspire either the kids session or the adult/teen
sessions. Because it’s been raised before, we won’t need DBS or CRB
clearance since the kids will be supervised at all times.

Please don’t hesitate to ask any questions.

Thanks,

Kian Ryan

Do you think anyone would be interested in my computer (raspberry pi)
controlled heating system?

Hi Andrew,

It’s probably best to address questions about the event direct to the
organiser.

Best,

Tamarisk.
