Amusing emo robot :D

Thought you all would find this amusing, watch till the end.
I think I remember Bob saying something about making a bot like this a good
few months ago

I’ve watched this 5 or 6 times now, and still havn’t managed to work out how
the face changesOn 12 May 2011 12:58, Adam Prescott adam.prescott01@googlemail.com wrote:

I think it is a transparancy that is spooled and wound up to show different
images (at 1:01 you can see that the face is glossy and reflects the
background where the rest of the wood does not) although it is entirely
possible that each of the robots is a different device or the face is
changed manually as you never see it change!!

convenient nor is a wednesday :frowning: )On 12 May 2011 13:04, Bob Clough parag0n@ivixor.net wrote:

It was on hackaday as well, they reckoned the video was partially faked,
especially the spin at the end which is unfeasibly fast. And if you
look carefully, the face is just a piece of acetate film that’s taped on

  • you can see the tape on each of the 4 corners, so clearly they are
fiddling with the box, it isn’t a continuous sequence.

Fake, fake, fake :frowning:

Alan Burlison

Actually i think its taped on during the shoot - it never changes in
the middle of a clip. If you look at the corners, you can see the tape
lines…On 12 May 2011 13:12, Keith Dunbar keith.dunbar@nikad.net wrote:
