I have upgraded to debian/testing and I no longer seem to be able
to build code which works on an ATmega32u2.
The build goes fine, but then the device fails to respond after being
re-set after DFU.

Hmm, I’ve been using debian jessie for a while now and have had no issues.
Could you downgrade to an older version of avr-gcc, pin it, and work that
way?
I have some test code we could both try compiling it and see what the
difference is? I think its a one button keyboard for a minimus.

If you could drop me some test code (as source and/or dfu downloadable
data)
and I can try it on the board tomorrow.
It is a new device, so there /could/ still be a build issue. On 7 January 2014 12:20, Bob Clough parag0n@ivixor.net wrote:

It may not be gcc, in the past I’ve hit issues in binutils as well.

Ok, I was using avr-gcc as the generic package of
compiler/headers/binutils/etc.
I will try and have a look at this tomorrow once I’ve soldered the new 3.3V
LDO onto
the board so I don’t need to hook it to a 3.3V external PSU.
I suppose I can try and see if I can make it wiggle a gpio just to test if
it starts at-all.On 7 January 2014 12:45, Alan Burlison alan.burlison@gmail.com wrote:
