Hello,
I’ve been looking everywhere for a basic electronics course suitable for
adults. The local colleges seem to have ‘electrical engineering’ degrees
but no basic electronics courses. I saw something a while back that Madlab
was running which had something similar but I missed it. Can anyone point
me in the direction of something suitable? I am OK with teaching myself but
want to have a bit of a grounding first for safety and to learn to solder
etc.
Thanks,
David
David,
Within reason and time permitting I am more than happy to provide you with
my time to teach you how to solder and to provide a simple introduction to
electronics. I am an electronics engineer by profession and I have taught
plenty of people the basics of electronics and soldering.
Electronics is a very large and diverse field however so it would be
helpful if you could provide a little insight as to what you would like to
be able to do. Being able to competently solder is a given, but are you
looking to make interactive light shows, make robots, perform sensor
measurements and datalog for citizen science or make your on audio
amplifier? All of the these are achievable on some level depending on your
budget and time.
Let me know when you were looking to do this and I will make the time
available. If you are looking for something more formal that too can be
arranged although we aren’t quite geared up for classroom teaching yet.
Kind regards
