Best place for components

How do all

Not seen you for a while! Work is getting in the way on Wednesdays!

Just a quickie. Where is the best place for acquiring components? Am
about to start a very un-ambitious project and just need a few IR
LEDS / Resistors / wire.

I also need a new soldering iron thanks to the mysterious death of
mine

Got a 50W variable temp one from Maplins in Stockport last week, �10 (on
offer, was �30). They don’t seem to have any stock online though.
