Hackspace Manchester remains closed due to the current climate regarding COVID-19 alongside the fact that the building is closed due to safety reasons following the recent electrical fire.
We can confirm that we have been in discussions with the Landlord regarding the current state of the building and as of yet have no timescales from them as to when the building will likely reopen and given that the situation of the building reopening involves a number of third parties including insurers, contractors etc there is a lot out-with our control at the moment.
Whilst we appreciate that people would like to access their stuff from the space the most recent communication from the landlord makes clear that no one should be allowed in the building. We are in a dialogue with them to try and allow for collection of belongings to happen and once we have a further update from them we will confirm if the dates that people can collect items can go ahead.
The situation regarding payment of rent forms a large part of these discussion, As of now we are still obliged legally to make rent payments until such time as an agreement with them has been reached.
During this time we still have to cover our operating costs, we encourage people to continue to support the space through their membership but should you need to alter your membership you can do this via the portal at

We are also hosting 2 Members Meetings this week on Wednesday (6th May) at 6pm and Sunday at 3pm (10th May) via video details on how to access these will be circulated on the Forum and Telegram Groups. These will be more of of Q & A Session so we can answer any questions etc you have (Questions can be submitted in Advance to board@hacman.org.uk)
