Hi all,
Not been around for a long while - I’d usually just drop in on a wednesday
unanounced but thought it better to check for what I have in mind.
Basically, I’m thinking of getting a small lathe in a while to build model
engines but before spending all that money I’d like to have a bit of a play
with one to get a feel for it and see if I actually enjoy metal turning.
Would it be OK to come down one wednesday and have a play with the one at
the space? I’ll happily chuck some cash in the donation tin and a bit extra
to cover any bits of metal stock I use - would someone be able to spend a
little while just showing me the basics?
If so, when would be the best wednesday to do so?

We’re not ignoring you, it’s Manchester Mini Maker Faire this weekend so
we’re all a bit busy.
I’m sure someone can help you with this (not me, I haven’t used a lathe
in about 15 years!). If we don’t get back to you later this week please
feel free to prod us with a large stick
