Cheap-ass battery holders

Hi Everybody!

I’m looking for super cheap-ass battery (single AA) holders. Cheapest is
around £1, which is not cheapest enough for me.

I’m looking at trying to patch up a simple DIY solution using bog roll
tubes, tin foil and tape, but wondered if any of youse guys had come up
with anything smarter.

Just one cheap-ass AA battery that will last less than an iPhone 4 doing turn-by-turn navigation.

Here’s my amazing plans, produced on FingerCAD Pro 2000

Whoah. That’ll teach me to upload from OSX. At least it’s defaulted to
private and not plaster-everywhere-with-incorrect-copyright-metadata mode.
It’s public now. Kinda.

Why bother with the cardboard? Just tape the wires to the battery contacts.On 5 February 2013 16:18, Dave Mee davemee@gmail.com wrote:

BECAUSE OF THE ENVIRONMENT DUH

Just to make it easier to replace the battery. TBH taping wires to contacts has never really worked well for me - well, when dealing with 8 year old kids, anyway, who tend to join the battery contacts to the wires using as much glue as possible.> On 5 February 2013 16:18, Dave Mee davemee@gmail.com wrote:

I mean, the nice thing with cardboard is you can tear and fold it with bare hands. In its defence.On 5 Feb 2013, at 16:59, Adrian Godwin artgodwin@gmail.com wrote:
