There appears to be an issue with the electricity cupboard in the main
hallway at HacMan. It smells of TCP and is smoking, Scanlan’s have been
notified and an electrician has been called. This doesn’t appear to be
having an effect on supply to the building however, it might if the
problem continues.
There also doesn’t appear to be any risk at the moment of it actually
catching fire.
Kind regards,
tamarisk.

Does not sound good. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.
I’ll probably leave coming in tonight.On 3 July 2014 17:48, tamarisk kay tamarisk@tamarisk.it wrote:

It doesn’t appear to be too serious. That said the electrician
described the problem as “an old fuse which was arcing and had burnt the
cable like fuck”

Power has been returned to the building. We need to be careful with our
consumption until the new board is put in though as the power use of the
building is quite close to the limit on the incomer.
