Electronics Kit - Pledge Drive?

We need to get a load of electronics bits and pieces for people to use
during meetings! (as its a massive PITA to strip resistors etc from old
video recorders!)

I’m thinking a selection pack of PTH resistors, PTH Capacitors, 1206
resistors, 1206 capacitors, NPN, PNP and FET transistors, Diodes, Wires,
switches, leds, Breadboards, AVRs, connectors, and some bins for storage.

I reckon we’ll need about £150 to get everything we need to make the kit
usable, and to start us off I’m willing to pledge £50.

Anyone else in?

I’m in for £25.

http://wiki.hacman.org.uk/Electronics_BitsIf anyone else wants to put some
money into the pot, or has any electronics bits they want to donate, please
post here!

We have £20 still in the pot, i’m looking at getting breadboard and a couple

Hi,
May I sugest using RM next time - they seem to be a lot cheeper than
Maplin and have a far greater range of parts and equipment.
Thanks,

Got the bits from a chinese seller on ebay, far cheaper than getting it from
a UK based company!On 10 August 2010 12:27, Chris Hilliard badspyro@gmail.com wrote:

I have been using farnell for parts, getting transistors for £0.018 a pop.

They have a massive catalog the website is not the easiest to navigate
however.

http://uk.farnell.com/ when searching the catalog remember to untick the
extended catalog, this is the stuff from the US and takes ages to deliver. On 10 August 2010 12:34, Bob Clough parag0n@ivixor.net wrote:
