What kind of timescale are you looking at? I spoke briefly to the lady who will be running the Manchester FabLab and they should be opening up sometime this quarter! Their plan is to allow community use of their machines on a saturday afaik.

Does anyone here use or run a small scale fabrication service? I need
a couple of custom sprockets and some drilled plates made up for a
model I’m making. Something a bit like emachineshop.com but preferably
UK-based to avoid all the import costs and faff. From what I’ve seen
so far I don’t think extrusion machines like Reprap will be quite
accurate enough - but I’m happy to be proved wrong!
