HAC:Manchester involvement at FLOSS UK unconference

Hi everyone,

I’m helping to organise the FLOSS UK unconference which is going to be
held at the Manchester Conference Centre, Sackville Street, on Saturday
8th October:

We’ve booked the Hub (a large central area with tables and - importantly

  • coffee machines), as part of the event and we’re keen to get local
    groups involved.

Would HAC:Manchester be interested in having a stand and/or offering
some talks on the day (attendance and tables are free)? We had delegates
ask about hardware talks at the previous unconference, so there will be
interest is there, and it would be great to have some people along who
were keen to talk about this.

Hey Paul,

A stand would be great, and I can probably whip together a talk about the
making of the project-a-sketch or something similar?

Sounds great. We’ll probably be starting things at 10am but we have the
rooms and facilities from 9am if you want to arrive early to set things up.
