Hack the Space Weekend

Hey All,

As we have the open day on the 7th of September, we should really prepare
the space. We have cupboards and shelves to build, network cable to run,
members lounge to sort and loads of other stuffs.

I suggest we run as following:

Saturday 24th August: BUILD DAY

  • Laptop Bench
  • Shelves above door
  • Draining Cupboard
  • Move & Wire Network Cabinet
  • Add More Members Lounge Lighting
  • Book Case
  • New feet for second sofa

Sunday 25th August: SORT AND CLEAN DAY

  • Sort and label computer & assorted junk shelves
  • Sort members lounge
  • Clean all surfaces
  • Mop all floors

Thoughts?

I’m planning on doing Ludum Dare that weekend but I’d happily take a
break for an hour or two to do something away from the computer.

What’s the plan for the draining cupboard? Are we planning on buying a

I’m free all weekend and up for getting stuck in, finally just sorted out
my membership and looking forward to hanging out and making stuff!

Having spent an hour trying to convert the donated cupboard I’ve
decided it’s not worth using. The chipboard is too old and dry to be
worked with. Unless anyone else wants to try and buy or build a
suitable cupboard, I’ll just mount the wire draining rack over the

A pitty, I don’t think i’ve got any spare of the IKEA racking
