Hack the Space

Hey All,

We could do with having a hack the space day, as we missed last month’s and
the space is getting a bit messy. I’ve put up a doodle to figure out what
date is best for people:

http://www.doodle.com/t4gpep2gfzzc5gq9

If people could fill that in, it’d be ace.

Todo list:

  • Sort out the great wall, remove & strip junk we’ll probably never need
    .
  • Clean and sort the workshop.
  • Finish setting up and sorting out the metal working room
  • Sort the electronics area, get all the capacitors and resistors into
    the right containers
  • Design, Print & Laminate signs for the major tools, update wiki pages
    with maintainence and usage tips
  • Replace broken striplights and starters
  • Buy & assemble an ikea bookcase for our growing book collection
  • take rubbish and recycling to the local tip

Ta,
Bob

Only 3 replies up to now, can nobody else make it to those dates? On 16 November 2012 16:09, Bob Clough parag0n@ivixor.net wrote:

Strictly speaking that’s 4 as I replied for two of us.

Is there a way to add a “none of the above” so you can see if people need
different dates?

OK, a clear favourite has emerged in the 1st of December, so lets call it
then.

I’ll be aiming to arrive at the space around 11am, and will be buying bacon
butties for anyone around at that time.

some questions,

What time would you like to start?

I have a small van (bigger than a car). I am willing to bring it should it be required; but I hate the charge for parking in manchester, is there free parking anywhere?

I plan on arriving at 11am.

We do have some stuff that needs taking to the tip (boxes of ewaste
mainly), but i’m not sure if using a van will make them charge us for
using the tip.

There is a tiny amount of free on-road parking at the other side of swan street.
