hacman feed aggregator?

I’m starting to write up some Arduino bits & pieces on my blog, which
I’ve resurrected after letting it rot for a couple of years - bad me
Any chance we could get a feed aggregator on hacman.org.uk? I’m
thinking of something along the lines of http://planet.opensolaris.org/,
which uses http://www.planetplanet.org/ as the implementation.

This is a good idea, i’ll set it up at planet.hacman over the weekend.

Whats everyone’s blog addresses? I think on mine, i’ll set up a
HACMan tag, then used the RSS feed from that, so planet only pulls
back the relevant stuff.

Hmm, i wonder if theres a habari plugin to automatically pull posts
from a blogroll and display them in the main blog feed. If not, i
might have to write one!

My blog is at http://jon.sprig.gs/blog but I’ve not yet started to
categorize my content into something I could use on a planet - unless people
are happy to read all my ramblings?

Well, my blog is at http://www.paulplowman.com/blog but I only post about three times a year, rarely say anything tech-related, and am thinking of moving it elsewhere.

Not much help, I’m afraid.Date: Sat, 29 May 2010 20:50:05 +0100

I’m going to write a habari plugin to allow automated syndication with
linkbacks to other blog posts in the main blog feed… It’ll take me a few
days though!

Everyone OK with this? It gives the hacman blog a bit more content (which
we sorely need!), and should provide the same back-to-blog links a planet
instance would.

Ditto sounds good to me also.

I think aggregation onto the main blog feed is a better way to go than a
separate aggregated blog. It’ll give an easy way for us all to
contribute our content to the main blog and ensure regular updates.

Most blog softwares will generate a per-tag rss feed (even if its hidden, i
know wordpress, habari etc support it), So people can choose which entries
to post to HACMan by just tagging the posts hacman on their blogs.

We can discuss features etc on wednesday, i’d also like to go through some
of the other infrastructure for the web stuff (wiki, blog etc) so i’m not
the only person with admin access!
