Hardware Freedom Day (HFD) is an annual world wide celebration of Free
Hardware with the aim of promoting Hardware Freedom to everyone. This
year the event lands on Saturday, 15th March. You can see the teams
around the world that will be participating on the HFD 2014 Events Map

Manchester, UK!
The event will be a chance to discuss, show and see Free Hardware. The
following topics are for discussion (but other Hardware Freedom topics
are welcome):
If you have a device/design that gives the 4 Freedoms of Free Software
as applied to a device/design and would like to tell others about it
then please give a talk/demo at this event. If you are going to do a
talk/demo then preferably send an email letting us know to:
fsuk-manchester-team@nongnu.org
The event will end with a tour of Fab Lab.

I am pleased to announce that we have a special guest speaker of Cefn
Hoile from Shrimping It http://shrimping.it/ for this Saturday’s HFD
2014 in Manchester.
The scheduled items so far are:

Talk on the whole subject of Free Hardware.
- Presented by Michael Dorrington, Manchester Free Software.

Talk/demo that will start with orientation on Arduino,
then move onto the Shrimp and then onto people’s Shrimp remixes.
- Presented by Cefn Hoile, Shrimping It.

Tour of Fab Lab Manchester.
