Hello

Hi,

Are you guys cool with a younger member (15) ??
If so where are you and when do you meet.

Thanks

Hi George,

15 should be ok, i’d like to say we focus mainly on maturity, but that’d
exclude some of our current members!

We meet on most Wednesday evenings, and one Saturday a month, at MadLab,
36-40 Edge Street, Northern Quarter, M4 1HN. April’s meetings are listed
in the blog post at
http://www.hacman.org.uk/april-2012-hacmanchester-sessions/

Thanks,

Hi George,

There shouldn’t be any issues with you joining the meetings. As Bob
has already said if you check the meetings times and turn up when you
are ready. We have a meeting tonight if you are thinking of coming
down. Do you have any specific project in mind or are you just
looking for like minded people interested in Electronics and
computing? We focus mainly on micro-controller based projects but I
do some analogue stuff and there are many diverse interests within the
group.

One thing I would say is that we try and promote a sensible usage
policy with respect to mains electricity, power tools and lasers. If
you are unsure of the safety aspects of using certain power tools then
ask first before using. When using main electricity in your circuits
ensure there are adequate safety controls and fusing in place before
turning it on and Lasers > 1mW can be used but only when everyone
concerned has access to suitable filtering goggles!

Look forward to meeting you

Regards

Alex
