Introducing HACK//BURN (and a little request for help from a fellow hackerspace)

Hi all.

I’ve recently been involved with trying to start a small hackerspace in
Blackburn, Lancs, which is finally coming to fruition.

We don’t have a web presence or mailing list just yet (though we are
working on it, and there is a Facebook group), but we meet every Monday
and/or Tuesday night at 63 King William Street, Blackburn.

Anyway, a hackerspace just isn’t a hackerspace without a 3D printer, and we
currently have a pile of bits that sort-of resembles a very battered and
bruised Reprap Prusa Mendel mk1.

We’re trying to find someone that would be able to print a full set of
parts for it, including a Wade’s geared extruder, to get the old thing up
and running again. Of course, we’d be more than willing to provide
pizza/beer/cold hard cash to print us a set, and we could pop over to pick
them up once printed.

Would anyone be willing to help us out? It would be really appreciated.

Thank you so much.

Rowan and the rest of the Hack//Burn crew.

Hi Rowan
I’ve got two printers…so if you want to buy the filament and collect
all the stl files (with quantities for each) I’d be happy to make a start
on it for you.On Friday, 30 January 2015 17:15:42 UTC, Rowan Wilson wrote:

Thanks Tony, that’s awesome. I’ll just see what we need first and then get
back to you :)On 31 Jan 2015 13:13, “Tony Goacher” tgoacher@adjam.myzen.co.uk wrote:
