laser cutter out of order?

dear hacman,

i’m not sure if the laser cutter is working properly. i tried using it
today with limited success. it’s not really cutting through acrylic
anymore, even with speed 4, power 100.

also, if it is supposed to cut circles very fast it loses tracking and
skips steps.

maybe it may be worth having a look into it to see what needs fixing.

Please mark the laser as out of order and one of the laser maintainers
will look at it when we get a chance.

Laser is properly aligned and back in service, however it needs the speed
to be set lower than normal to cut properly. There are parts on order to
hopefully fix this, hopefully we can deal with the lower power until then
:slight_smile:

For reference, doing power 100 speed 5 with laser ply works OK (compared to
