Laser Misbehaving

Hi All,

The laser cutter is misbehaving at the moment, skipping steps on the Y
axis, and slightly low on power towards the right hand of the bed.

I’m looking at doing a full maintenance run-down on it this weekend, so I’d
suggest people don’t use it till then.

Ta,
Bob

I was just about to suggest this got looked at as part of hack the space day but doing it sooner would be awesome.

What time are you planning on doing it? Would you mind if I popped along while you’re doing it so I could maybe learn a little more about how it works? At the very least I could hold things for you or make a brew.

Boz.

I, and several others, have used the laser without issue since this was
posted. I wont deny it needs a clean but none of us could replicate the
skipped Y axis steps…

hi tas and others

i had the problem that the x axis seems to be too short at the extremes.
like when cutting up to 28 cm sheets there’s is like 1 mm of difference in
the cuts.
