Anyone interested in some makerslide?
This guy is doing a UK-manufactured run of MakerSlide, the linear bearing
system. It comes to about £12/meter, which is pretty cheap, and its
compatible with the misumi extrusions as used on the mendelmax.
I pledged for 6 meters and a bag of accessories to rebuild my laser cutter
and build some other things!

cant you fix the metre extrusions together to get longer? or would
that make too big a bump at the join?On 6 September 2012 19:14, Barry Carter barry.carter@gmail.com wrote:

I’d have thought it was being extruded in much more than 1m lengths
but he’s cutting it down for efficient use and sane mailing cost. If
you want longer it would be worth talking directly to him.On Thu, Sep 6, 2012 at 8:44 PM, Tom Bloor tom.bloor@googlemail.com wrote:

I don’t know if we’d have room for anything bigger than 1m x 1m anyway,
it’ll have to go in the middle of the workshop to start with!On 6 September 2012 19:14, Barry Carter barry.carter@gmail.com wrote:

Following popular demand 2m lengths of MakerSlide are now available.
Unfortunately we can only offer them to UK residents.
To claim a reward in 2m lengths please do the following;
- Select a reward that indicates the amount of MakerSlide you would
like to receive. (For example if you select the £42 (4 metres of MakerSlide
in 1m lengths.) reward then it would indicate that you wanted 2 lots of 2m
MakerSlide.)
- Add an extra £7 to your pledge. This is to cover the extra postage
costs
- Finally, send an email to makerslideeurope@gmail.com with your
username, name and the reward you would like, mentioning that you would
like it in 2m lengths.
If you would like to upgrade your current reward to 2m lengths please
do the following;
- Make another pledge of £7, opting to have no reward. This is to
cover the extra postage costs.
- Then, send an email to makerslideeurope@gmail.com with your
username, name and the reward you had previously purchased, mentioning that
you would like it in 2m lengths.
