Manchester Mini MakerFaire - 10th and 11th of August

Hey All,

The Manchester Mini Makerfaire is coming up, and it’s a
fantastic opportunity for us to get out there, advertise who we are and
what we do to local makers.

I’d like to take a LOT of things, big and small to show off all facets of
what people make at the space. Thinking woodwork, metalwork, craft,
electronics, plastics, software and anything else we can think of.

It’d be good to get our big projects shiny and polished and working
perfectly, and maybe make some new things. Also, little information cards
for things, saying when / why / how they were made, t-shirts, banners and
all sorts of other cool stuff.

I’d also like to make a massive banner with photos of the space, and people
doing things in the space, so if people could make sure to take a billion
photos of everything happening over the next month or two that’d be awesome.

If anyone wants to make something really cool but needs materials they cant
afford (up to about 20 quid per project), give me a shout and I’ll see if
we can sort it somehow.

Ta,
Bob

I am starting to work on the second revision of frank’s mainboard and
some of the bits we’ve
been discussing after the newcastle ready for the next one. I am
aiming to issue boards in the
next week or so for the add-ons.

We could do with some sort of certificate for people who have played,
and/or completed it.On 1 May 2013 15:37, Bob Clough parag0n@ivixor.net wrote:

Hi,
Yes, I haven’t been in quite a bit (over 6 months…) due to stage
lighting, commissions, more lighting, coursework, more function lighting,
and exams.
But, after exams (and RoboCup soccer worlds - national champions again) I
will be able to start turning up again. If you have a date for the
makerfaire then I might be able to come.
I have the light wall, the little one, and a new nixie clock (possibly any
other bits and pieces I have lying around).

Regards,
