Hi,
We’ve run a couple of Minecraft sessions at the MadLab CoderDojo getting
the participants to work together on building interesting things in
Minecraft as a team. We bumped into the Printcraft [1] people at Maker
Faire. They let you build an object in Minecraft and then their modified
server will send you an STL file of the object for 3D printing. I’d love
to give this a go, both personally and with a view to getting kids from the
CoderDojo to be able to print things off. I’m a complete 3D printing noob
(technical Minecraft term). How best could I get started and would it be
possible to use the 3D printer in the space (happy to buy printing stuff).
Thanks in anticipation of help!
Dave.

Hi Dave,
This looks very cool!
If you want to meet up at the space one evening or weekend we could have a
go at trying to get the toolchain working, and I could give you a 3d
printer induction to use the space’s printer

That would be brilliant Bob. Are you around this Saturday afternoon?
I’ll have to check the calendar but I think I’m free-ish.
