Hey All,
I’ve mentioned it a few times before, but now the time is here! I will be
making a misumi order in about 2 weeks, sometime after the 15th of February.
The product I use them for most is their 20x20 aluminium extrusion, which
is makerslide compatible, uses 5mm hardware throughout. They are the same
as we used ot built the mendelmax.
Taking the mendelmax as an example, the misumi parts came to £47 including
a bag of 100 T-Nuts:
4x HFS5-2020-300 (300mm 2020 Extrusion) - £5.64
4x HFS5-2020-340 (340mm 2020 Extrusion) - £6.36
6x HFS5-2020-420 (420mm 2020 Extrusion) - £11.82
4x HNKK5-5 (Bag of 100x M5 Nuts) - £14.00
plus VAT and Shipping
For guesstimating prices etc, use the configurator at
http://uk.misumi-ec.com/eu/ItemDetail/10302368740.html
Bear in mind that although the configurator is in euros, misumi use a 1:1
conversion. The values are also without VAT and delivery, so expect the
cost to be about 25% more than the configurator gives you.
I’ll also be bringing in my paper misumi catalogue on wednesday and leaving
it in the space for a few weeks for people to choose what they want.
