Mouser order

http://uk.mouser.com/

I’m thinking about doing an order from mouser in a couple of weeks.
Similar concept to the farnell orders, but mouser seem to have a lot of
IC’s and things FAR cheaper, for example AVRs are 50-70% cheaper!

(eg. ATTINY24A-SSU - Farnell £3.08 each, Mouser 49p each)

The minimum order for free shipping is £50, and i have about 30 quid’s
worth of stuff i’m buying, so if anyone else wants to make up the other 20
quid that’d be great!

ATMega 328p

Farnell: £6.55
Mouser: £1.36

A 5x differential seems absolutely ludicrous - are Farnell trying to
go out of business?

Alan Burlison

the £1.36 one is an atmega328, not a 328p.

Only real difference is that the 328p has picopower technology though, for
lower power usage when sleeping, not really necessary for Arduino stuff
which seems to be EVERYTHING ON ALL THE TIME FOR EVER USE ALL THE POWER

But you might have to fuck around if you use the arduino IDE to make it
program (the signature bytes wont match).

but if you want it I will look
Sorry I haven’t been able to make it down, but I have had exams, finishing

Ah, silly me for assuming that when I typed in atmega328p into the
search, that’s what it would show me

Even so, the 328p from Mouser is 3.41, still half the Farnell cost…

I don’t use that vile excrescence known as the Arduino IDE so it
wouldn’t help much

The IDE is vile, the underlying environment is even viler.

I will try and sort out the last couple of orders I’ve done for you
and see what I might want from Mouser, and then sort out the
cash.

Not going to help much on the financial front, but please add:

4 x 625-S1M-E3/5AT diodes
1 x 833-ER1J-TP diode

Thanks

The ATMega 32u2 is the only thing I can currently think of.

Bob, if you are struggling to meet the minimum order total I wouldn’t
mind two USB-capable ATmegas + crystals & caps, USB connectors etc that
I could breadboard with (so DIP packages I guess). I need to dash out
so I don’t have time to figure out exactly what I would need, so if you
don’t need the extra bits to make up the total, or you can’t be bothered
 that’s fine

This is on the way, one of Alan’s rectifiers is on backorder.

Not sure if it’ll arrive by wednesday though, apparently its coming from
Memphis, Tennessee!

I probably won’t be able to make it this week anyway, so no worries.
