We have meetings scheduled for the 22nd & 29th of december. Do we
want to keep these meetings as scheduled, or skip one or both of them,
returning in january 2011?
Also, any preferences for December’s hack session: Saturday the 18th,
or Sunday the 19th? Holding it on a Sunday this month definitely
improved attendance, do people want to carry on with sunday meetings?
move to a different weekend? switch back to saturdays?
I prefer sundays…free parking in manchester if you can find a space!!
Its also easier to get away from the missus! I’m not sure about the 29th…
I might not manage that one. I get forced to visit the inlaws over the
Christmas period.
If we could design some kit that got people out of that we could make
millions!!

Tempting but a little crude…I was thinking a somehow forcing them to not
want to be visited, that way I am absolved of the requirement. If they
don’t want me to visit I won’t bother, saving time, money and my sanity! On Tue, Nov 23, 2010 at 2:37 PM, Bob Clough parag0n@ivixor.net wrote:

Follow up to this, can anyone make it on wednesday? With the
closeness to xmas, the snow and the colds going around at the moment,
I’ve been thinking it might be worth cancelling until the 4th of
January.

I’m able to go but not feeling great. Up to you. I wasn’t much help on
Sunday

OK, the meeting is cancelled. We’ll resume our regular meetings on
the 5th of January.On 20 December 2010 19:37, Paul Plowman madstunts@hotmail.com wrote:
I vote to cancel. Just because my mind is occupied by many other things in the Xmas run-up.
I’ll still come if it’s on though.

Cool, that makes me feel less bad about missing the last 10+ meetings.
New years resolution: quit giving work my spare time and commit more
time to cool projects with HacMan!
PS. We had a major clearout at work and I have a bumper box of all sorts
of cool stuff, the best bits being:
x86 AMD dev boards (probably enough for everyone)
A bag full of little thermistor boards (temperature monitoring galore!)
Not one, not two but three (yes three) rackmount servers.
A bag full of DC-DC convertor modules (36-75Vdc IN, 5Vdc and 12Vdc OUT)
Hope everyone has a good christmas and I’ll see you all in the new year,

Not so much a dev board as ans SBC. Sounds like an interesting board
with lots of development potential. I’m particularly interested in the
fact it has on-board PLC that can be programmed with VHDL.
I also have a full set of documentation, reference designs and example
programs.
PS. I’ve also seen one for sale on Amazon for £181.23.
