old webcams

I have a couple of old vga resoultion usb webcams going spare.
Does anyone want them or shall I dump them in the waste pile?

Can they be used with an RPi? Power, Drivers, etc?

If they’re just USB devices, yes, with caveats:

  • They don’t pull too much power, you might be able to get around this with an external hub
  • There are drivers for the OS you are running, probably linux

Will.

A quick google will tell you how much luck other people have had, especially if they’ve been around a while:
