After a little taste this weekend, I’ve decided I’d like to do a bit more
fettling at the Space, but it costs me the better part of a tenner to get
there and back, so I’m only planning a couple more visits (if that) - is it
possible to get a month’s membership?
For example, could I start a monthly standing order and cancel after the
first payment? My only other choice would be to come in over the weekend
again and stick a couple of quid in the tin…
Many thanks,
Mark A.
Hi Mark,
Yes, you can cancel your membership payments at any time. Your membership
expires around 1 month after your last payment arrives.

Nice one, Bob - I’ll do the first payment and then kill it at the bank.
What happens after I join? RFID chip/card/fob come in the post? I’m hoping
to get over next Monday and burn most of the day there;).

Hi Mark (JMUDoc) once goCardless has been set up and activated you can
either update your RFID on the site orcome in on a Wednesday open evening
and purchase a fob which can be updated to the site. The final option is
arrange a 1 on 1 induction on a day that suits both parties.
contact me directly via email if you wish to organise the 1 on 1 induction,
otherwise I’ll see you on a Wednesday.

The issue is that Mark struggles to come in on a Wednesday evening or at
another time as he lives in St Helen’s and does not drive.
In this case I think the best thing to do is to organize a time suitable
for all involved where we can open the space and let Mark in as before. Or
alternatively take an RFID tag, enter it’s code into the database and
assign it to Mark’s details and then post it to him. This unfortunately
and awkward situation as Mark does not really need a full membership and
probably won’t need the RFID tag after he’s completed his work.
