Hi All,
I’ve recently managed to get a hold of a Plane Thicknesser for about £100
this was from someone I know that live close by
I’ve checked with Bob and we have enough room for it and there was some
interest in it for the new wood working area
if anyone wants to donate something towards it then any donations are
welcome, if not I’ll cover the cost of it
usually these things go for about £300 - £600 and someone else was coming
around in the morning so I had to jump on this one pretty quickly
It’s a Electra Bekum HC260 made in 1992, he’s said it’s not had a lot of use
http://www.dbkeighley.co.uk/masters/hc260.htm
I’ve seen it running okay, and it comes with all the bits
for now I’ve got it stashed in the garage, once we’re ready for it in the
new space I should be able to bring it down in the trailer no problem
(it’s not that big but it is quite heavy)
Awesome I’ve had a few projects that need a planner for> On 8 Apr 2016, at 20:54, ‘garlicbread (Richard)’ via Hackspace Manchester hacman@googlegroups.com wrote:

Looks handy, not sure if anything I’d do would need it but I’ll throw some
cash your way.On Friday, 8 April 2016 20:54:45 UTC+1, garlicbread (Richard) wrote:

We’ve now got the plane thicknesser in the space
I brought it in since it was taking up space in the garage, and there’s a
chance we might use if for the wall partitions
For the wall partitions the outer main frame is 58mm X 74mm thick
so one idea we’ve had for the inner thinner bits is to use some 63mm X 38mm
then shave a tiny bit off the thinner bits to get 63mm down to 60mm / 58mm
to match the outer frameOn Friday, April 8, 2016 at 8:54:45 PM UTC+1, garlicbread (Richard) wrote:
