Relief Aid for Ukraine

Hi All,

The Ukrainian Social Club in Cheetham Hill (USC) in partnership with the Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain National Committee are collecting donations of boxes of aid items to assist with relief efforts in Ukraine.

I am collating efforts within my firm, and suspect their may be appetite within the space to contribute.

To the extent that you do have any spare of the items listed at the bottom of this message, or would like/are able to purchase some to donate to this effort, I will be in to set up a repository box this evening. This box (or hopefully a couple of boxes) will be emptied on Friday night and sorted into categories for delivery to USC Saturday morning.

I’m told that people may wish to include “little message cards… talisman …small teddies… make a blue and yellow bracelet etc". If you are one of those people, please do feel free.

Anything that you are able to do/donate will be appreciated, I’m sure.

Note: This is a humanitarian effort and not political. It’s a shame that we can’t all agree, but please let’s not debase ourselves. Let us remain focused on what is important.

Many thanks in advance,

This is a great idea, thank you for organising it.
I managed to get some small bits together and dropped them off this evening.

Is it a one off arrangement or should people keep bringing items in? I know you mentioned it being collected on Friday.

I was only proposing to do the one collection from the space, as there’s quite a lot of logistics going into it. However, if people want to keep donating aid but can’t/don’t want to deliver to one of the drop off points themselves, then I suppose I could arrange additional runs.
