RoboButler 3000

Hi all,

Me and Bob want to make a drink-carrying robot platform for EMFCamp this year:

http://wiki.hacman.org.uk/RoboButler_3000

We’ve started assembling a few components but soon we’ll need a bit of
space to store the robot while we’re working on it. I think it’ll fit
inside a 60cm cube. Does anyone have any objections or concerns about
us keeping this in the space? It’ll probably stay in the quiet room or
workshop.

After EMFCamp (August 29th) we’ll find another home for it or let it
loose on the streets of Manchester to fight crime / solve mysteries
etc.

Jim

I don’t have any concerns…try and keep it oot da way though…

Hello Jim/Bob,
Good luck with the build; I’m sure it will be a sensation!
I’m no great fan of beer, but I do like to play with motors ( sort of
meddling in things I don’t understand )
Where did you get the wheel-chair motor? I tried to blag one cheap from a
’mobility’ shop, but they were
very, very unhelpful.

I was given them by a friend who was having a clear out, he’d acquired the
wheelchair guts when he worked for a charity shop style place years ago and
never gotten round to using them.On 5 February 2014 17:19, Bruce Clothier clothier.bruce@gmail.com wrote:

Hi All,

The robot chassis is coming to the space this weekend! We’ll try and keep
it under the workbench in the workshop as it’s a bit big for the quiet room.
