Hello all,
I’m looking for a design/maker to join our team for this year’s Sci-Fi 48
Hour Film Challenge http://sci-fi-london.com/48-hour-film-challenge. We
will be doing this in Manchester, 11th to 13th April.
In particular we’d like to work with someone with a broad set of making
skills and a knack for throwing things together quickly. Access to stuff
like wires, pcbs, and general tech detritus would also be very useful.
How the contest works:
At 9am Saturday 11th April we receive the brief: a film title, a line of
dialogue and a description of a prop that must appear in the film. Our
writing team will conjure a story out of these elements. We don’t know
exactly what props/physical items will be required, but since this is
sci-fi, there will certainly be *something *that needs making or cobbling
together from pre-existing items (example? hmm… a drip feed, a neuro
implant, a time machine, a simple body for an AI (could be as simple as a
box with lights on it).
Let me know if you’re interested. Hope to hear from you.
Cheers,
Ben Holden
Writer/Director
P.S. Some previous work of mine:
Hi. I’m interested.
I also saw your post on the Filmonik Facebook group.
I’m busy for some of the 11th, but I’m up for helping where I can.
