Hey Everyone,
On the 25th of June 2009, 14 Hackers met in the Grey Horse pub,
Reddish. The Purpose? To discuss setting up a Hackspace in the
Stockport / South-East Manchester area. Its taken some time, and a
change of focus, but we’re now nicely settled in at MadLab, and 2
weeks on friday it’ll be our groups’ 1st Birthday!
I’d like to throw a party for the occasion, get a bunch of our cool
projects set up, throw some videogames into the mix, and invite the
geek community of manchester to come by for good times! I’ve asked
madlab, they’ve asked if we could delay it a couple of weeks due to
the refurb work.
I’m going to throw Friday the 9th of July out there as a possible
date, we have £66 in the kitty generously donated by the guardian, and
i’m happy to chuck in some money towards food / drinks etc.
I’ll need some help organizing this thing, if anyone has ideas /
suggestions / money to put towards the plans, please post here! If
theres any problems with the date, please post ASAP as i’ll need to
book it.

Anyone want to take point in organizing this? I dont really have time to
set it up, but i’m thinking videogames / pizza / beer / music will need
sorting!
