Sponsorship of OggCamp

I’d like to spread the word a bit further about hackspaces, and in
particular, Stockport Hackspace (unsurprisingly!)

I’d be prepared to put £50 in, but I’m not for a second expecting anyone
else to put in that much! If I can’t get enough together from people on the
Stockport list, I’ll next be dropping a note to Jonty from the London List,
HelloCatFood (Ant, I think) from the Brum lot, Squizzle from Leeds and
Adrian from L’pool… that isn’t a threat, but I’d not even thought about
sponsoring an event like this until I had a chat (albeit initially not a
particularly serious one) with Tim Dobson.

If anyone wants to get behind this, let me know - on, or off, list. When I
get to £100 or next weekend, whichever comes sooner, I’ll let people know
what I’ll be doing next!

Thanks!

Thank you for your interest in sponsoring OggCamp! We are offering the
following returns for sponsorship amounts of over £100 (or equivalent in
goods and services).

  • A button/banner & link from OggCamp website until at least two months
    after the event.
  • Display a standee/poster/literature provided by you at the venue.
  • A mention in podcasts in the run up to the event.
  • A credit/thank you in material recorded at the event.

I am able to discuss further returns for sponsorship amounts over £300.

To ensure you are the in picture, we have already committed to a press
advert for OggCamp in the next issue of Linux Format, so this will obviously
not include the logos of any new sponsors. We will also be committing to
some more printed media in the next few days, so there is a time pressure
there too!

Thanks,

Tony
