Stupid Project Ideas

Assuming makerfaire uk is going to be happening next march, we should maybe
have a thread to discuss ideas / plans for what we’ll make / bring.

As usual, my ideas are massive, difficult to transport, and pretty stupid.
Monome Dancefloor - 1.2m x 1.2m, split into 12 x 12 square cells. Each
cell can detect if it has been pressed, and can light up. this allows us
to set it up as a Monome http://monome.org/devices or
Lifehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conway’s_Game_of_Lifesimulator.

Air Hockey Robot - A robotic opponent for air hockey, vision recognition
for where the puck is, direction, spin etc, a belt driven paddle able to
go left or right really quick like.

Add a microphone to the LED sign and make it into a VU meter?

Biggesttrak... we'll need an APC and an arduino.

Hmm, how big could we make one? Could it be ride-on?

I still think my idea of an Ethernet switch done in relays would be awesomeOn 1 November 2011 13:59, Ben Dooks bjdooks@googlemail.com wrote:

Make a mini-ENIAC. With tiny transistors.
