Hey All,
We have been offered a Lathe on Permanent Loan (collection from
Heywood),and i’m planning on loaning my Laser Cutter (collection from
Wythenshawe) to the space (until we get our own). We may also need to
collect the shelving units (from Eccles). I propose we hire a van on
Sunday and drive all over manchester picking up all the various bits of
things we need, and moving them to the space. (should only be about 40 quid
for a day’s rental)
To move the lathe, we’re going to need at least 4 people (its massive and
made of metal), and obviously someone is going to need to drive the van.
We could also do with having people at the space sorting things out, as we
have a lot of random junk lying about still that needs going through.
Please post if you can make it

I can of course drive a van and will be available to help on Sunday
and Saturday etc as required. Let me know what you need doing.

What make/model of lathe did you get hold of? Do you have anyone with
experience driving them? I can offer a quick intro on safety and basic
