Can people please make sure they are turning things off before leaving the
space? In my past 2 visits the electronics bench and coffee machine have
been left on.
Thanks,
Bob

Think we need a more obvious ‘ON’ light for the electronics bench then? And
as the stuff in the kitchen is on a seperate socket from the fridge, same
there with a big button like we put on the electronics bench? On 11 February 2014 09:57, Ben Dooks bjdooks@googlemail.com wrote:

Big buttons sounds sensible.
Obviously separate to the fridge for the kitchen one.

I think that on/off switches need to be redesigned so that they become part
of the “internet of things”. You could probably do it crudely with today’s
home automation technology, and have a web page showing the state of
switches.
We are planning on doing this with the same design as the one for
controlling access to certain tools.
I am still looking for a suitable 13.56MHz reader, as the boards we have
are a bit too big.On 28 February 2014 14:23, Bob Mottram fuzzgun@gmail.com wrote:

I’ve working on a home automation system based on the arduino rf24network.
It maybe overkill but its fairly cheap per node.On 28 Feb 2014 14:54, “Ben Dooks” bjdooks@googlemail.com wrote:
