in the making of a What If Machine – seeing as Manchester isn’t really
that far away.On Saturday 22nd September 2012, inspired by “Games Time” the Olympic
show at Derby Festé, registered teams will come together at The Silk
Mill to build the WHAT IF Machine. A spectacular, over engineered CHAIN
REACTION reminiscent of the work of William Heath-Robinson or Rube
Goldberg, the inventor of the classic Mouse Trap game.I have attached the What If Machine project flyer and Register of
Interest Form. Teams are being invited to build (prior to the day) and run
a module of the machine (on the 22nd September), which will have a GAMES
theme, the flavour of which will be left to the team.Teams will need to register by 6th August, after which we will send you
an information pack and trigger to help you create your part of the
machine. Dominic may already have mentioned it to you.I realise that you will be very busy at the moment but hopefully once
this weekend is over you will be looking for another project to get
involved in.–
